Adapt our model policy to set out your expectations for remote learning, so staff are clear on what they need to do.

As of 4 January 2021, all schools have closed to all pupils except children of critical workers and vulnerable children. You must provide remote education to all pupils learning at home.

Stay up to date on the full list of expectations (pages 46 to 50 of Restricting attendance during the national lockdown: schools).

Download our model policy

It's designed to help you set out your approach to remote learning for your staff members, so everyone's clear on what's expected.

If you're looking for help on deciding what your approach should be, see our articles on delivering remote learning.

Our policy is:

  • Designed for you to adapt to suit your school's context
  • In line with relevant requirements and good practice
  • Approved by Forbes Solicitors

You may want to use it alongside our home-school agreement, to make the expectations clear for pupils and parents as well.
