Writing a PE policy

You don't need to write a PE policy, but you might want to create one to help guide your PE teaching, and to show to parents if they ask.

Use the government School Sport and Activity Plan to see what high quality PE provision looks like and what support is provided from the government.

When writing your PE policy, include a broad overview of what you teach. You can use the national curriculum to guide this.

You may want to reference your use of the PE and sport premium in your policy. Read our article to understand how the premium is allocated, how you can spend it and how to report it.
