Share our list of questions with your teachers, so they feel prepared for whatever inspectors might ask about.

Inspectors can ask teachers questions either 1-on-1 or as a group.

Share the KeyDoc below with your teaching staff. It includes questions on:

  • Quality of education (curriculum)
  • Personal development
  • Behaviour and attitudes
  • Leadership and management
  • Safeguarding

Tip: this is a long list of questions, so teachers don't necessarily need to prepare for all of them. However, based on our experience, inspectors are likely to:

  • Ask teachers about safeguarding
  • Talk to early career teachers (ECTs) about behaviour, so make sure your ECTs are confident in this area

You may also want to focus prep time by identifying the areas inspectors are most likely to be interested in concerning your school. Read the last section of our other article to find out how.

Remember, Ofsted won't expect your teachers to carry out any additional work to prepare for inspection – these questions are here to help them feel confident when speaking to inspectors.
