The new framework for the statutory inspection of Anglican and Methodist schools (SIAMS) came into effect on 1 September 2023. Find more information in our article on SIAMS inspections: what you need to know.

Consider completing a 'summary' self-evaluation

It's not statutory, but it can help the inspector to better understand the impact of your school's vision, policy and practice. Your 'summary' SEF should be an abridged version of your 'ongoing' SEF (if you have one), as inspectors are unlikely to have time to read a lengthy document.

Your 'summary' self-evaluation should focus on answering and providing evidence for the 6 key inspection questions (7 if your school is a voluntary aided school). Learn more about the questions you'll be asked in our summary of the SIAMS inspection.
